Scottish Poetry Rose Garden
Consultation with the client resulted in a draft design for several features to form the centrepiece of the garden celebrating the works of Scottish poets.
Three hand carved memorial boulders were supplied. A suitable stone was selected for each and roughly hewn to the required dimensions and shape. A spiral detail was then carved into the surface to accept inscribed poetry extracts. Various details were carved at the base of each stone.
In addition to the memorial boulders, several inscribed circular slabs were supplied and laid at strategic points in the landscape design.
