Urban Deer (Kenny Hunter)
Orchard Park Cambridge
The Urban Deer sculpture takes the form of a bronze deer treading carefully through a pool of water represented by shaped sandstone. A partially submerged tyre and a lily pad floating on the surface complete the impression.
Shown here in June 2011 surrounded by ongoing construction work the sculpture will form the centre-piece of a landscaped garden within a hotel development project.
Bronze casting by Powderhall Bronze. Sandstone supply and dressing by Hutton Stone. Transport and craneage by R. D. Anderson. Project management and installation by Stoneworks. Unveiled in 2011.
